Stayed one week at La Plantation and found the place very nice and the staff very friendly but the air conditionning didn't work properly or not at all!! The plumbing was not of best quality.
But all in all we can recommend this hotel and we will also go back some other time. Of course, what's missing in the area are some shops and amenities. Another point ...

The hotel now have new management and are trying hard to rectify the problems. We had no issues and had a wonderful stay. Not a place for teenagers or watersport enthusiasts. Small beach but lovely pool area. Read more »

A welcome break in the most beautiful surroundings

We would like to return to Mauritius as we enjoyed our stay. The staff are friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. The location of the hotel is superb. Gardens are beautiful and treatments at spa fantastic. I do however feel that the hotel is in need of maintenance. Read more »

The service was very poor. The mixed our room up with the couple they came with us. They took two hours and 45 min to fix a simple problem (there was no shade to cover the window from the bathroom to the bedroom). They made offers to try and make us happy, but did not follow through (offered us bathrobes and slippers never brought them). I had to ask for ... Read more »

We took 22 clients over and had terrible service. We complained every day about not having hot water and nothing was done, this is a 4 star with no hot water? We had clients that had basin's leaking (a lot), towels not been replaced, rooms only made up after 15h00 and barmen that drink on duty and ignore you!

Excellent room, wonderful balcony and view. Spacious, beautiful property, the pool areas are magnificent. Food was good but as we were there for 20 days the buffet got a little repetitive. This is not a 4star superior operation - at the most it deserves 3 stars. The place is coming apart and the foul stench of toilet effluvia is enough to drive anybody away. The location of La Plantation was good but the hotel itself seems to need a bit of work. The service was not up to standard (at least not the 4 star standard as quoted) and the rooms aren't really cleaned enough. The hotel seems to lack some kind of a team spirit to make it work. Read more »

From the warm welcome received upon check right throughout the entire stay everyone made you feel very welcome. It's a good Hotel but surely there are better ones in Mauritius. There were only honeymoon couple!!! ...I was alone. Very big choose of food but not excellent.

The welcome at the airport was great, the car for the transfer was a bit small(we had 2 big suitcases)
Hotel was good, room was great and big, very comfortable bed and great view. The only negative point would be the unefficientie of the staff, it was hard to obtain a bottle opener that was missing in our room, and the movies were playing and playing again ... Read more »
