In total experience it was great. The only minus we can say about the hotel is the beach. It needs to improve the beach and water quality. This was the only big - about this hotel.

A stunning hotel offering fabulous accommodation on all room types. I stayed here for my honeymoon in June (2006) and everything was 100%. I would strongly recommend that clients upgrade to All Inclusive before departure as drinks and snacks were very expensive. The All Inclusive package also included excursions & spa treatments.

Legends hotel in mauritius was one of the best hotels i have ever stayed in, there are three maids allocated to every room and they really look after you. This hotel is rated as a 4* plus but in my humble oppinion i think it should be a 5* they even have staff that clean your sunglasses on the beach and this is all included! The hotel rooms are really beautiful with a jacuzzi bath ( no not the eddie murphy type!)and are spotlessly clean and have everything one could wish for, the restaurant in the evening is totally superb with a`la carte foods to die for, to sum it up this hotel is fab for a pampering luxury lazy holiday.

Located in lovely grounds, this hotel has an Oriental theme. The standard rooms have an interesting open bathroom that is seperated (if you want) from the bedroom by blinds. The beach is man-made and not fine white sand but coarser and the bay is very still, this means that there is often a lot of seaweed. The pools are nice but not huge and there is an intimate feel. Spa is lovely and the kids club is most welcome! The only cinema I have been to which has its own cinema which the children loved and which I loved for the English football they broadcast every Staurday night!

Poor beach

The thing we loved best was a romantic dinner on the beach. Just the two of us, surrounded by candles.
The food, generally, was good. In the main restaurant as well as in the Mediterranean restaurant by the beach (where we had lunch often).

The staff is really friendly and the service generally good. On the beach a waiter would come by with fruit and cold towels for refreshment!!

The room was a 'water' room (according to the Feng-Shui concept) and so we could see the ocean from anywhere in the room.

What we didn't like very much was the beach or to be more precise the seawater which was not very clear.
We went diving (our first dive ever and we LOVED it!!) and waterskiing which was great!

Grand Baie is about 20 minutes drive away. In front of the hotel is a taxi stand. The taxi driver who drives you, will wait for you and drive you back as well. Grand Baie is really nice for shopping and on Friday and Saturday night, it's happening in the bars and night clubs.

it was our first time in Mauritius and definitely not the last time. We will go back and when we do, we'll go to Legends again.

The hotel is entirely Feng Shui. We had a room after the element 'metal'. Not very big but very cosy. From the big bathtub you can watch into the room and even see the ocean!

Diving was great, the spa a treat, waterski like many other watersports included in the price. The beach for hotel guests only.

Food was great; we had a few times buffet but most of the time a set menu. Although the restaurant was very big, it didn't feel like that at all because of the setup of the restaurant.

Quiet and harmony are key words here. We loved it!
