We had the time of our lives. If we exclude the fact that the sea was a bit rocky in some places, everything else was perfect. The service was flawless and the people extremely kind. Nice place for a honeymoon

We stayed at the Grand Mauritian for our honeymoon. It is a huge hotel and personally we prefer a much smaller hotel. The half board deal was strange in that each night you were given a meal allowance. The amount of the allowance depended on what was on offer for dinner. Beautiful but big flaws.

Pros - Beautiful hotel, room was best I have ever stayed in, lovely staff, food was high standard, ambiance at Brezza was good, BBQ and cruise were fantastic, and breakfast was very good other than tea. Mauritian food at Buffet and then Sega dancing was also good all night long. Spa was nice but larger selection of massages would be good.
