This is a beautiful well kept resort (foliage outstanding) our room in Esmeralda was excellent. I was a little bit disappointed that there wasn't more resort staff friendlier and at least smile. the hotel and the people are the best things about it. the rooms are immaculatly kept, the beaches anr beautiful and the people always had a smile and were willing to help out with whatever situation. the food was pretty good, nobody i was with got sick, but it always sat heavy in our stomaches (probablly because we always ate to much). we went snorkeling with ... Ups and downs at Bahia Principe

No doubt... the hotel is fabulous. It was only two years old when we were there (end 2005) and it still felt very new. The gardens were beautiful. The rooms with a huge king size bed very comfortable.
The beach is fantastic and there is a little shopping center which belongs to the hotel 'Pueblo Principe'.

Great place to relax on a beautiful beach...

Loved the location. It was gorgeous especially if you want to relax in the sun all day long. Service was great. Food was alright but I wasn't there for the food anyway. The only drawback was that I had clothing (brand new underwear etc with tags on) stolen right out of my luggage. Yes, I used the safe but vacationers should not have to lock up their brand new ...
