I have stayed at this hotel several times and it has always been excellent. The rooms are particuarly good and the service is very attentive.
This time I had my 10 month daughter with me and there were two things that struck me - the hotel is VERY pram unfriendly - there are no ramps, lots of stairs and the cobbled pathways around the pool area make it quite ...

The Telfair is a French Colonial themed resort hotel. It is very stylish and upmarket in a romantic and relaxed setting. Even the standard rooms are outstanding and you dont necessarily feel cheated if you get a river view instead of a sea front view. This is a beautiful part of Mauritius, the south. The beach and the sea are really nice. The junior suites are decorated in colonial mauritian style as the rest of the hotel. Apparently it is very windy on the South Coast in winter time but we were lucky because yes it was windy but it was also very sunny. Stunning views on the waves breaking on the reef. The setting is honestly beautiful. The elegant colonial style from the entrance to the restaurant to the rooms... a beautiful hotel.
Dinner was not great but the breakfast buffet ...

We recently had our company conference at the Le Telfair Hotel in Mauritius for the 4th time, what a magnificent setting and expierence, the facilities are awesome and the rooms are perfect.
Not to mention the great golf course and team ? Absolutely wonderful.
