Le Preskil resort was the best hotel I have ever been to!
The resort looked amazing as we came in with beautiful trees and flowers surrounding it. The buildings themselves were very clean and attractive. The whole set up was beautiful with lots of nice gardens and flowers which attracted lovely birds. The whole place felt very safe with plenty of security around and a barrier as you go in – perfect for families.
The staff was brilliant! As soon as we got out of the taxi a man was waiting to collect our suitcases, then we went into the reception area onto some comfy seats to check in and were greeted with some tasty cocktails! Definitely the best check-in experience I’ve ever had. Then we were shown to our rooms, I couldn’t help but notice the lovely pool area and view onto the beach and the sea as we walked to our room.
We had a lagoon room which was very spacious, with our own balcony with a stunning view of the beach and sea and the room was decorated really nicely. Our room was cleaned every day and in the evening we were offered additional towels and a bed making service.
We were all-inclusive which meant some items in the mini bar were free of charge – water, juices and beer! Brilliant! The restaurants were delicious; breakfast had everything you could wish for as well as dinner which offered a large range of foods. The steaks house was my favorite – the best steaks I have ever tasted and all for free with the all inclusive. Again the staff did everything they could to make each meal perfect.
Both swimming pools were a good size and the right temperature. The water sports were great fun – anyone could have a go.
The entertainment team was so much fun! We are a young couple and there was so much to offer throughout the day, they give you a daily timetable on arrival and this includes some of the activities we took part in – beach volleyball, aqua aerobics and a table tennis competition. Plus they do tennis competitions and many other activities. We had a great time and the entertainment team was brilliant for getting us involved in activities we never would have tried otherwise.
We went over for a wedding which went without a hitch; the staff again was amazing for ensuring it ran smoothly. In the evening was the management cocktails and it was nice to meet the staff who run the place. Later on a band played in the main restaurant
and we all danced the night away! This is something the hotel sorts out every night a different form of entertainment and it was brilliant, definitely not tacky or buntline style, it was good quality and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
The whole holiday was fantastic, mainly down to the staff that was amazing. I would definitely recommend Le Preskil for anyone, couples, families, friends, there is definitely something for everyone!

Activities Food Staff Location

My boyfriend and I stayed at Le Preskil Hotel for my 26 birthday, it was fabulous. We have done the water sport activities, such as glass bottom boat, snorkeling, pedalo, laser...etc included in the hotel price. Nice restaurant with great waiters, open buffet, good food... The room is not bad, a huge double king size bed, TV, minibar, a safe but the bathroom is very small.


Well, I had a fantastic week-end at Le Preskil Hotel.

I had the privilege of staying at the Le Preskil Beach Resort, and I must say that the resort was beautiful as well as the people, very friendly and welcoming the management team were excellent as well, always wanting to know if you need anything and assisting where possible, the staff are very humble and always at your call. I will definitely stay there again.

My Husband and i had the opportunity of spending our 10 Years Wedding Anniversary at the Le Preskil Beach Resort in Mauritius in January 2008 this year...We thouroughly enjoyed our stay there , not only was everything so convenient as we were on our own private beach , as well as having a few restaurants literally a minute from our room, the boathouse which was 30 sec. aways and with just the sand seperating our room and the ocean was the best view to waking up in the mornings ! It was not just the perfect place to relax, but loaded with lots of exciting water activities that the boathouse offered . Our Tourist guide was very helpful when we arrived and helped us plan a weeks itenary. So we not just enjoyed our tours, but also our water activities as well. We still cannot getover the Undersea walking that we did as well as the Snorkeling in Blue Baai! Not to forget the whole day Catamaran Boat Cruise that we took to another island ... It was amazing ! Even though its been blistering hot, just the thought of coming back to the Le Preskil Beach Resort to a cool air-conditioned neat and tidy room always was the perfect way to cool off , if not a dive into one of the pools which was also about 30 seconds away from our room. The Resort also had a beautiful spa with a range of massages as well as a gym , hired bicycles as well as motorbikes. The cleaning staff as well as the restaurant staff were always so polite and well mannered. We were really treated like royalty every single morning and evening by the staff as we were booked half board (lunch not included in package) however lunch was never a problem as we just used to go to the town Mahebourg which is a few minutes away and enjoy the food of the village. Theres also flea market stalls as well as little gift shops that you can enjoy shopping at , did become a bit uncomfortable with the heat but it really did not stop us at all.If we got tired, we could just go back to the Beach Resort which was so near and very convenient once again . Oh the Airport is also just 15 minutes away from Le Preskil, once again was very convenient. The Restaurant had a different theme buffet dinner every evening, which was so exciting with such a wide range of delicious meals , salads as well as the the desserts. We did get a bit tired of the same breakfasts every morning though, the menu is the same but i guess the dinners really made up for that. Not to forget ending your dinners with the Sega Dancing every evening , that was just too funfill as we always took the dance floor as well.So I am really glad that my husband had chosen to book the Le Preskil Beach Resort and will not just recommend it to anybody but have already recommended it to our family as well as lots of friends ! It was really a warm, peaceful and relaxing place to spend a week away !

Everything is good but the internet. It was very inconvenience for use internet.

We have just returned from our honeymoon in Mauritius. We stayed for 4 nights at the Le Preskil Beach Resort. We found everything about our stay there absolutely lovely. The beach was stunning, the hotel over all amazing, and is truly a little piece of heaven. We stayed in a honeymoon suite which was decorated beautifully and our friendly valet would clean our room every morning and evening. We found all the staff to be incredibly helpful and efficient. Apart from some who do battle slightly speaking proper English. But all round the reception staff to the waiters were all equally good. Our holiday package included breakfast and supper. However we did not take the all inclusive package which I would've recommended as drinks are rather expensive. A tip to try the local beer called "Phoenix", my husband got addicted to it while at the hotel and even brought some back home to South Africa for everyone to taste. The breakfasts were good, with quite a large variety, however after the third morning it did become a bit bland. The dinners were lovely, with a different theme every night, and different entertainment was provided each night such as singers and local mauritian dancers which we found extremely entertaining. The resort itself had so much to do that we found ourselves not wanting to leave to do any other touring. However the one day Le Preskil did provide us with a taxi driver who took us around the whole day to different tourist attractions, which only cost us about 2000 rupees. All water sports were included in our package, and we found the equipment to be well looked after. We took a glass bottom boat trip the one day where we were able to snorkel and admire the coral. Our boat driver from the hotel was again very friendly and answered everyones questions. The hotel has a lovely spa where we were treated to a complimentary massage which was very relaxing. Our weather was good, very warm with only the evenings getting cool. The bar at the hotel as well as the Tapas restaurant made a lovely place to have lunch and the fried fish we had at the bar was divine, with most places serving large portions. Overall I would really recommend Le Preskil Beach Resort it sets an extremely high standard and we would love to return again next year.

The traffic in the capital Port Louis is so bad in the morning that it is quite hard to reach the airport if you have to catch a flight mid morning. Therefore we stayed at the Preskil for the night because it is located 15 minutes from the airport (strangely though, you can hardly hear any airplanes at the hotel).
A very nice welcome with cold towels and a cold drink.
The room is quite basic with no bath tub and a fixed shower which is not ideal for showering a two year old.
Two pools overlooking the beautiful lagoon. The beach is well kept with enough sun loungers and umbrellas.
We had dinner in the buffet restaurant. The food was really very good as was breakfast.
We did find the drinks expensive for a 3 star hotel (one beer Euro 5,00). It might be a good idea to book the 'all inclusive' option.

The beach and the lagoon at this hotel is probably one of the most beautiful of Mauritius. Wonderful colours, great beach!
The hotel has been renovated not long ago so the general condition is really good. Also the rooms, really ok for a 3 star hotel.
However, the food (breakfast and dinner) was not good at all.
The hotel is far away from everything so if you want to go somewhere more lively, you need to take a taxi (for example to Grand Baie). Mahebourg is nearby the hotel but there is nothing going on at night.
This hotel is perfect for beach lovers who are looking for peace and quiet for a reasonable price.
