Excellent airport greeting and limousine to the hotel, but the hotel reception, 29 hours late, was unwelcoming and it is not pleasant to start with a serious misunderstanding as to the tariff paid. I had paid Full Board, expecting it to mean All Inclusive. But, no, that would be 45,000 roupies more. We were not told about Discovery experience and that caused difficulties later. However, the room was lovely - just what I thought I had booked. Apart from the arrival, the hotel was large and attractive and the beach, beautiful. The first dinner was a terrible scrum in the main dining room, and used not to signing for everything when all-inclusive, as in the West Indies.
The next day things got better, the beach beds were excellent, the staff could not be nicer, and the lunch possibilities were much better. From then all improved every day, and we thoroughly enjoyed the remaining time there. Many of the wines on the list, ceased to be available, but the food was very good when you got used to the system.
