"Peace and Beauty"

Stayed for 9 nights at Les Lataniers Bleus in Black River on the west coast of Mauritius. IT consists of 3 villas - a large on with 5 bedrooms and 2 smaller with 3 and 2 bedrooms respectively. Unusually it is run on a bed and breakfast basis and the rooms can be rented separately. We rented the 2 smaller villas. The setting is idyllic, in pretty gardens right on a sandy beach. The rooms-both bedrooms and living rooms were spacious and comfortable and the kitchens well equipped. Evening meals are also available and provide the chance to meet other guests. The meals were delicious and good value. The proprietor is Josette Vexlard- described in one review (accurately) as formidable.Charming, knowledgeable and very willing to do all she could to make our stay enjoyable.
