Many destinations lay claims on being unique, special, picturesque, paradise. But no place has a better bid on exclusive wonder than Hawaii. Vinivi is so impressed with this Island beauty, that we gave the state country status. This is as it should be really. This string of emerald Islands is a country all its own, but more accurately, a destination that stands alone as a sort of perfect getaway.

Mountains.

No doubt you have your vision of what the Hawaiian Islands hold in store. From TV series and movies, to the covers of the world’s finest travel publications, no place has been more photographed, let along talked about. The good news is, all the wonders you heard of exist, and more.

WaveFrom the pounding surf that made these Islands famous with the surfing legends, to Diamondhead and Waikiki, everyone from Elvis Presley to Frankie Avalon and Annette Funachello (bet that takes you back) has had a movie or photo op here. Magnum PI’s Tom Selleck made the Island even more famous too, but the real draw, the value, is what attracted them all. The magic of centuries old culture, planet Earth’s most beautiful spot, Maui and Oahu, and all the rest. During your visit, you’ll likely land in Honolulu, home to Pearl Harbor, the aforementioned Waikiki Beach, the capital of paradise.

Thundering Giants

For the adventurous, there’s the North Shore, the place surfing legends like Greg Noll and more recently Laird Hamilton made “hanging ten” a fad and a legacy. Diving the coral reefs, the wonderful hibiscus, mornings drinking mai tais, all the cliché things you ever could imagine, take place every day and night here.

Honolulu. There’s no comparing anywhere with Polynesia for sheer beauty. Nature meets modern life, and the friendliest people in the world in Hawaii too. Seven million visitors do not flock here each year for the pro football. There’s a reason there’s no NFL or NBA here, yo know. People have better things to do.

The Big Island, so called Kauaʻi, is just one elaborate piece in the jigsaw of wonder and fascination that is Hawaii. Picture yourself taking a snooze on the pristine white sands, the remnants of a gigantic swell lapping at your toes. Then visit here.
