5 star luxury

We have just stayed at the 5 star Hotel Fortina and spa. We stayed in a therapeutic spa bedroom, so had access in our bathroom to a therapeutic spa bath, a shower/steam room, a hydrotherapy machine, and also had our own jacuzzi in our room behind the bed. We had access to 7 restaurants on an all inclusive basis, including free mini bar. The restaurants were fabulous, especially the Japaneses' restaurant and TASTE which is Mediterranean/Vietnamese.

Stylish location

I stayed with my daughter for two nights in October 07 in The Radisson Edwardian, Leicester square. This hotel is right next to the Odeon where all the film premieres were, so we could have seen lots of famous actors and actresses during British Film week. However, instead we sneaked Subway sandwiches back into the hotel for our evening snack. Our room was large, with two large beds, TV with Internet access which costs - yet is free downstairs. The bathroom was huge and very well appointed. The decor is lacquered red/black with walnut finish - almost chinese yet it felt very new. The breakfast was very good, and the cooked breakfast was to die for.

superb staff and hotel

Beautiful hotel in gorgeous location. Has its own private beach. The main restaurant is Le Moulin with a seriously fantastic buffet every night, usually themed, eg Italian, Indian, Fish. Look out for the amazing central table/buffet decoration. There are other restaurants of course- an a la carte, plus poolside restaurants. There is free evening entertainment in the beach bar, and all the watersports are free. The staff cannot do enough for you from spraying you with jasmine water to cleaning your sunglasses. They are always happy, friendly and smiling.

Modern contemporary hotel

The hotel is quite difficult to find, and nearer Pimlico than Westminster. It is a new, modern hotel close to the Houses of Parliament. We stayed one night for bed and breakfast. The breakfast was fantastic- great choice of cooked buffet and cold meats etc. The hotel is very clean, and the room ameneties good, including broadband, music system, flat screen TV. The rooms are not large, but the beds are very comfy with a choice of hard and soft pillows.

converted windmill

the Windmill at Thurleigh is 5 minutes from Bedford Autodrome. It is a converted Windmill with just 3 rooms. We had the garden room which overlooks the garden (beautiful grounds) and is huge with a double bed nad single bed, and fully fitted bathroom with toiletries. We arrived later so were given a pot of tea and coffee and cakes for free! the room in the Windmill has its own living room as well as a bathroom over 3 floors!

Old fashioned charm

This hotel is right in the centre of Haslemere. It has an ample car park and a is a 3 star hotel with Aqua Roma, a stunning indoor pool complex. We stayed in a lovely room with a four poster bed and huge fireplace. It is a bit of a rabbit warren in terms of finding the rooms and certainly not suitable for disabled guests. It is in a pretty market town with some lovely countryside surrounding it.
